Our tried and true design process

  • Our first step in any project is getting to know our client. By understanding project needs, our client’s perspective, and various design constraints, we can begin to direct and guide the design process.

  • Next, we collaborate with you and refine the design as needed. We strive to help you conceptualize your end result through several iterations, in-depth discussion, and 3-D visual modeling tools.

  • Once a design is established, our extensive experience working with neighborhood and government agencies, such as the City of Colorado Springs Regional Building Department, City Development & Planning Services, and other regional planning organizations works hard to provide you with an approval-ready project.

  • Finally, we work alongside you, engineers, planners, contractors, and other agencies to create ease of construction and observe that your project is built to the highest standard.

TDG is an established, multifaceted architecture firm that provides residential, commercial and municipal design.

TDG is experienced in working with a vast array of clients from residential to commercial. Our public client experience includes working with the City of Colorado Springs Utilities; City Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services; and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs on projects that span two decades. Our residential experience covers assisted living, multifamily and private residences with both new construction and renovation on a variety of local, regional, and international projects. 

Founded in early 2008, by Mark Tremmel, TDG is committed to providing superior architectural design and client care services. Our team is well-versed in the most current digital drawing standards with the creative capabilities to turn each detail into reality. It is our mission to bring your vision to life while keeping our rigorous professional standards intact,  and adhering to your personal budget and schedule.

TDG holds architectural licenses in Colorado, Arizona, California, Nebraska, and Texas.

Giving Back to our Community

TDG is involved in our local community through volunteer work, project consulting, and offering pro bono work that supports growth and provides value. Some of the current ways TDG strives to help the greater Colorado Springs Community is through participation in HBA Cares, the philanthropic arm of the Housing and Building Association, and the opportunity to construct transitional housing that assists individuals and families in need during temporary upheaval.

In addition to supporting our local community, TDG is also a proponent for sustainability on a greater scale. Our team holds Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP’s) certifications. We actively work with the USGBC and are experienced in energy efficient design, as well as built-green, award-winning, residential projects. The LEED Certified Silver Award for the Colorado Springs Utilities Water Laboratory (in association with RNL Design of Denver) and the Summit County Built-Green Award are some projects that exemplify our promise to designing and maintaining healthy environments.
